NetLS Company Held Lecture to the Students of King Danylo University Vocational College and King Danylo University

After signing cooperation agreements with King Danylo University and King Danylo Vocational College, NetLS prepared a presentation “Get started in IT” and held a binary class for students studying in the Software Engineering specialty. The training was conducted by Taras Styslo, the manager of the IT department of  KDU, and Olga Yatsyuk, HR of the NetLS company.

At the lecture, students got a unique opportunity to communicate live with the speakers, got acquainted with the peculiarities of working in a modern IT company, learned about the necessary skills for work, and dispelled many myths about this field. The most important thing we tell students: IT is not easy money, but 90% zeal and 10% understanding. Since the technology industry is constantly developing, specialists in this field must be aware of the latest innovations and receive quality training.

In addition, students received advice from professionals on how to start in IT. When looking for a first job, everyone encounters a chicken-and-egg problem because, as everyone knows, people with experience are needed everywhere, and experience can only be gained at work. The goal is to convince the person sitting on the other side of the table to give you the job. It is real for a young specialist to land a job without having the experience but having the willingness and the enthusiasm.

Our speakers recalled the importance of having a resume in good shape, cover letters in a great format, and many ideas of what a seeker is looking for in a future position.

Young specialists asked questions about the opportunities and most relevant areas of the IT sphere. The audience’s interest confirmed that businesses must cooperate with universities in different formats: to conduct lectures and supervise masters’ and even bachelor's programs. Thus, students receive practical advice that will be useful in real life, and the company gets good advertising and competent personnel in the future.
